Surgery went well yesterday. The anastelogist nurse came in with Penicillin; which I had told them about 6 times I was allergic to. "Well, what does it do to you?" "I break out in hives."
She left the room, came back with 'penicillin's distant cousin.' I said, getting testy, "I am allergic." "Well, most people who are allergic to penicillin can take this." I said "Alllllright."
Surgery itself went well. No complications.
I couldn't sleep on my bed last night and did spit up a little when I got home. I think it was most just body-shock.
Woke up from an uncomfortable night to find that I was completely broke out with hives.
What did I tell you? Seriously, people NEVER listen to me.
My nurse told me to stop taking everything and get some benedryel. Two doses of that taken 4 hours apart cleared me up, but I was starting to hurt from some gas pains.
Actually, I couldn't tell you what exactly it was...or where I was hurting from. But I was hurting. My nurse (who I bugged 4 times today) told me to go back on the regular meds since the hives cleared up and get some GasX.
Now I feel fine, besides some soreness. Even felt well enough to shower for a bit.
Hopefully, it will remain like this.

Why do people never listen to me?
